Andrew has been friends with a group of children since he was in pre-school. They met this year for a book exchange and to catch up with one another. It was fun for the parents to catch up with one another as well. We are very blessed to have a great group of friends!!!
Andrew had another milestone in his life--He learned to ride a bike without training wheels and he lost his 1st tooth. Time flies by so quickly and they grow up so fast.
Dana, Andrew and I took off for the weekend to visit San Diego. As we drove down, we saw the devastation from the fires. We also saw a caravan of fire trucks going down the freeway--Hopefully going home after a long battle with the fires. Our spirits picked back up once we reached our hotel and Andrew was so excited he could barely contain himself. We got up early the next day to visit all the animals that Andrew has seen on the TV station Animal Planet. The Zoo seems endless but we managed to see the majority of it in one day. Andrew was a trooper and walked the entire time. He could not wait to see what was around the next turn. The zoo seemed very empty and the weather was good which made the day pleasant. As you can see from our pictures, we saw the animals up close and fully awake. Andrew did not want to leave his animal friends when it was time to go but he already told us that he is ready to visit the zoo again.
Andrew had a fantastic Halloween this year. At school, he participated in the parade as Peter Pan. That night he came home and changed into Harry Potter. As you can see from the pictures, Dana and I decorate the house for the kids to enjoy. The spookier the better!!! We have fog machines, strobe lights and Scary decorations!!!
